Glow Wire Flammability Tester refers to GB/T5169.10; GB/T5169.11; GB/T5169.12; GB/T5169.13 (IEC60695-2-10; IEC60695-2-11; IEC60695-2-12; IEC60695-2 -13) “Glow wire / hot wire basic test method, 5169.10 glow wire test device and general test method; 5169.11 finished product glow ignitability test method; 5169.12 material glow wire flammability test method; 5169.13 material glow wire ignited Standard Test Methods and UL 746A, IEC829 VDE0471 and other standards stipulate the use of the flameless ignition source program simulation test project.
The glow wire tester will heat the test wire (Ni-C/Cr20) and the shape of the heating wire to the test temperature (550 °C ~ 960 °C) for 1 min, and then burn the test piece for 30 s at the specified pressure (1.0 N). And the ignition time of the matting material to determine the ignition hazard of the finished electrical and electronic equipment; determining the light-off property, light-off temperature (GWIT), flammability and flammability index of solid insulating materials and other solid combustible materials (GWFI).
