Description
Summary:
The sponge ball rebound tester is suitable for the determination of soft polyurethane foam falling ball type can rebound resilience. This instrument through a given diameter and the quality of steel ball in the specified height on free falling on the foam sample, calculate the spring back of maximum height of steel ball and ball drop height ratio is the percentage of spring rate, expressed as a resilient rate of foam plastics can rebound resilience. This machine adopts microprocessor to control, LCD Chinese display, and can print test data. The machine is
characterized by safety, reliability and high measuring accuracy.
Test Theory:
- The steel ball with a given diameter and mass is free-falling on the foam plastic sample from the specified height. The time of the steel ball bouncing and falling is measured by the photoelectric sensor, and the recoil height of the steel ball is calculated by the microprocessor.
- According to the test method of GB/T6670, the spring back height of each sample was measured for 3 times. The maximum height was selected as the spring back height of this sample, and the average value of the maximum height of 3 times was taken as the spring back height of this material.
- According to the test methods of ISO8307 and ASTM D3574, the spring back height of each sample was measured for 3 times, and the three samples were measured. The average value of 9 spring back heights was taken as the spring back height value of this material.Compared with the falling height of the steel ball, the percentage of this ratio is the rebound rate of the foam plastic. The resilience rate represents the resilience energy of foam plastics.
